Industrial Mechanic

Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and repairing batching and asphalt plant equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime.

Duties & Responsibilities
Take an active role in the plant’s safety programs and initiatives.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment for self and co-workers at all times.
Carry out routine and preventative maintenance of batching and asphalt plant machinery and stationary equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize plant downtime.
Perform fabrication, installation, and erection of processing equipment.
Repair and service both stationary and mobile plant equipment.
Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and work areas to identify and report potential hazards.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report all breakdowns and interventions.
Collaborate with electrical and automation teams during equipment installation or upgrades.

Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
Diploma in Mechanics, Plant Maintenance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in industrial or factory settings, preferably within road construction or infrastructure projects
Strong background in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication, and basic hydraulics.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to plant operations.
Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
